They say fitness is a journey not a destination, well they forgot to mention how fun the journey is. I did'nt start getting serious about fitness until college when I started rowing and competed through the four (and a half) years I was there. Since then I have taken up hiking, running, cycling, diving and kiteboarding. Just this past year hiking and running have been my main avenues for blowing off some steam in the great outdoors and plan on running my first marathon this December. I currently work as a personal trainer and group instructor but as you can tell my preference is to get away from the gym and explore new places to run or hike in San Diego and beyond, although I do keep weightlifting as a routine a few times a week.
As active as I am though that does'nt mean I can't stay in and endure a whole season of LOST or 24 or even go to the movies and make myself ill eating too much popcorn and drinking way too much soda.
In short I live life to the fullest and growing up in San Diego has made it pretty easy to do that.
